Sometimes
I wonder how it feels living as a Moslem in somewhere else outside Indonesia or
what if I were born as Palestinians, perhaps, I would not be what I am today.
Moslems in Palestina meet different situations than moslems in Indonesia. You
know what I’m talking about. People basically have different kind of problems
to pass in life, some of them are insecure to have peaceful lives (for example
those who live under the war), they have no choice but struggling (that makes
me feel so thankful living in Indonesia). In Indonesia where we have so much
ease to do anything we want, we can worship whenever we want without fear,
Moslemah can wear hijab freely, our problems as Moslems might be ‘world
temptations’ : food, fun, fashion.

Several
months ago, I read such an incredible well-elaborated book titled ‘Garis
Batas’, written by Agustinus Wibowo (you can read my review here) that broadens my
mind, his journeys to unusually visited countries such as Tajikistan, Kazakhstan,
Turkmenistan don’t only talk about what the countries are but also what
attracts me most is his stories about Moslems living in countries which the culture
of communist strongly inherited. Besides that, I also enjoyed reading ‘99
Cahaya di Langit Eropa’, written by Hanum Rais, (you can read my review here)
which tells about the writer’s journey looking for the what Islam has remained
in Europe. My imagination was like wandering around the places Hanum tells
before I googled the pictures of them. ^^

By the way, If you have twitter account, I recommend
you to follow @islamicthinking account. He/she is an Moslem lives in England (I
don’t know whether he/she is an English or not yet), his/her (forgive me I don’t
know the gender yet) tweets are enlightening in a simple yet powerful words. You
can also visit Islamic Thinking. This account makes me
curious about his living there in England, how people in Europe perceive Islam
and other questions coming to my mind. Other social networking, Facebook, also
enables me to know a sister from Arabia, I was a little surprised when she
added me as friend but then we started to talk. Besides, I can practice my Arabic
with her. I hope the nahwu (grammar) I use is appropriate ^^ (by the way, typing my keyboard to Arabic letters takes me
so long time so I prefer talking in English with her ^^)

I
was told that if we pray for someone/people then they will know and feel close
with us eventhough they never know about our prayers. One of my friend proved
that. She often prays for Moslems in other countries, Moslems who live under
the pressure of the government (she said Moslems from Uygur, Moro, Iraq, etc)
before going pilgrimage. When she was in Baitullah, Moslemahs from all the
countries that she has ever mentioned in her prayer came to her, one by one in
unexpected ways of coming. A moslemah from Uygur suddenly came to her camp to
take ablution because she ran out of water in her camp. How come, said my
friend.

Traveling
around the world is one of my dreams. I wanna see many places, meet many people
and feel many things. The stories of Moslem’s living in other countries are
very interesting for me but sometimes I think : how to get know with them? for example It will
be weird adding friend over the world on Facebook randomly right.. (I should find the way next time).. Maybe if you
read this and you have friend from other country, I prefer Moslemah ;), you can
get her know me or if you are Moslem from other country, it will be nice to
know you. Innamal mu’minuna ikhwah.. We are brother and sister, pray for one
another 😉

honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his

Sometimes.. i think our muslims brothers n sisters who live under the pressure are luckier than us who live in "peaceful" place..
they have their big chance to proof their eeman with the real danger to their own live..
Surah Al-Ankaboot
Do men think that they will be left alone on saying "We believe" and that they will not be tested? (2)
We'll this comment for sure not to curse to what Allah Willed on us here not there.. 😉 We all know Allah is the Most Merciful and The Omniscient.
my pray for every muslim whereever the are.. 🙂
A palestinian may be only has two choice whether to defend or to die as a syaheed… Al haqqu yubayyinu *i guess u know what i mean 😉
We, as Moslems in Indonesia, face hidden enemies.. Bid'ah, fun, and any temptation which we may not realize and i think hidden enemies are much more dangerous..
Kullu qodarillah khoir.. Allah knows best for us and we should be thankful living in Indonesia 😉
ya Alloh mbak. I almost cry reading this "When she was in Baitullah, Moslemahs from all the countries that she has ever mentioned in her prayer came to her, one by one in unexpected ways of coming".
